Hi, my name is Joanna, and I joined Sophie’s Kendall Publishing income program about a year ago. I found Sophie’s course on Facebook, and I really liked her down to earth approach, so I enrolled.
I have been working very hard in the IT industry for over 25 years, and as exciting as my job can be, it can also be extremely draining. I’ve also recently immigrated from South Africa to New Zealand, and the exchange rate was not in my favor and I ended up with 10% of my life savings. So I started looking at alternative, sustainable, but creative ways to supplement in my income a couple of years ago. My drive was to supplement my current income with a long-term view of retirement, but also hopefully to reduce the amount of hours I need to work in my current job. I was quite prepared to work hard, to learn and to work hard in a new industry, but I didn’t know where to start. So that’s what Sophie’s course gave me. It gave a creative industry, a place to start, and a process to follow. The KPI course is very well laid out. The modules are easy to follow, and I really enjoyed the regular online sessions.
Even with work and family demands on my time, I managed to pace myself, work through the modules, and to apply my steps. And now my book is published on Amazon, my first nonfiction book. It ranked number one new release in three or more different categories, which is really exciting, and I am preparing to create the other books in the series. I do not have a particularly entrepreneurial mindset, but I do like a new challenge, and I would like to thank the whole KPI team for getting me this far with my books.
